When I came to college, I was proud to be a right-wing conservative. Growing up in a small town, I never thought much about politics; I just voted like my parents and even more so, my grandfather. They were Republican, so naturally, I was.
However, four years at a college, liberal arts to boot, I have managed to think on my own and outside the box. I'm fairly liberal, I guess you could say. However, that's not what this is about. The purpose of this blog is to give you insight on my latest project: Indiana and the Death Penalty. I guess I gave you my political background just to set a premise; I don't really know where I stand on the death penalty...my opinion is ever changing. I think that's a good thing, since I need to remain unbiased in this story.
I have been gathering information and will start contacting people to see the history of the death penalty in Indiana. In the end, I hope to have a better understanding of how the process works and the opinion of the state that I have grown up in.
